Resumir dados com consultas de agregação

Uma consulta de agregação processa os dados de várias entradas de índice para retornar um único valor de resumo.

O Cloud Firestore tem suporte para as seguintes consultas de agregação:

  • count()
  • sum()
  • average()

O Cloud Firestore calcula a agregação e transmite apenas o resultado para o app. Em comparação com a execução de uma consulta completa e o cálculo da agregação no app, as consultas de agregação economizam em leituras de documentos faturados e em bytes transferidos.

As consultas de agregação dependem da configuração de índice atual que suas consultas já usam e são escalonadas proporcionalmente ao número de entradas de índice verificadas. A latência aumenta com o número de itens na agregação.

Usar a agregação count()

A consulta de agregação count() permite determinar o número de documentos em uma coleção ou consulta.

Calcular várias agregações em uma consulta

É possível combinar várias agregações em um único pipeline de agregação. Isso pode reduzir o número de leituras de índice necessárias. Se a consulta incluir agregações em vários campos, talvez ela precise de um índice composto. Nesse caso, o Cloud Firestore sugere um índice.

O exemplo a seguir executa várias agregações em uma única consulta de agregação:

Consultas com várias agregações incluem apenas os documentos que contêm todos os campos em cada agregação. Isso pode levar a resultados diferentes da execução de cada agregação separadamente.

Regras de segurança para consultas de agregação

O Cloud Firestore Security Rules funciona da mesma forma nas consultas de agregação e nas consultas que retornam documentos. Em outras palavras, se e somente se as regras permitirem que os clientes executem determinadas consultas de coleta ou de grupo de coleções, os clientes também podem executar a agregação nessas consultas. Comportamento e limitações

Ao trabalhar com consultas de agregação, considere os seguintes comportamentos e limitações:

  • Não é possível usar consultas de agregação com listeners em tempo real e consultas off-line. As consultas de agregação só são suportadas pela resposta direta do servidor. As consultas são exibidas apenas pelo back-end do Cloud Firestore, pulando o cache local e as atualizações em buffer. Esse comportamento é idêntico às operações realizadas nas transações do Cloud Firestore.

  • Se uma agregação não puder ser resolvida em até 60 segundos, ela retornará um erro de DEADLINE_EXCEEDED. O desempenho depende da configuração do índice e do tamanho do conjunto de dados.

    Se a operação não puder ser concluída dentro do prazo de 60 segundos, uma alternativa possível é usar contadores para conjuntos grandes de dados.

  • As consultas de agregação leem das entradas de índice e incluem apenas campos indexados.

  • Adicionar uma cláusula OrderBy a uma consulta de agregação limita a agregação aos documentos em que o campo de classificação existe.

  • Para agregações sum() e average(), valores não numéricos são ignorados. As agregações sum() e average() consideram apenas valores inteiros e valores numéricos de ponto flutuante.

  • Ao combinar várias agregações em uma única consulta, sum() e average() ignoram valores não numéricos, enquanto count() inclui valores não numéricos.

  • Se você combinar agregações que estão em campos diferentes, o cálculo vai incluir apenas os documentos que contêm todos esses campos.

Preços

O preço das consultas de agregação depende do número de entradas de índice que correspondem às consultas. Você vai receber a cobrança de um pequeno número de leituras por um grande número de entradas correspondentes. É cobrada uma operação de leitura para cada lote de até 1.000 entradas do índice.
