Pacotes de dados do Cloud Firestore

Os pacotes de dados do Cloud Firestore são arquivos de dados estáticos criados usando snapshots de documentos e consultas do Cloud Firestore, e publicados por você em uma CDN, em um serviço de hospedagem ou em outra solução. Os pacotes incluem os documentos que você quer fornecer aos apps clientes e os metadados sobre as consultas que geraram os documentos. Use SDKs do cliente para fazer o download de pacotes pela rede ou pelo armazenamento local. Depois disso, carregue os dados dos pacotes no cache local do Cloud Firestore. Depois que um pacote for carregado, o app cliente poderá consultar documentos do cache local ou do back-end.

Com os pacotes de dados, os apps podem carregar os resultados de consultas comuns antes, já que os documentos estão disponíveis na inicialização sem a necessidade de chamadas para o back-end do Cloud Firestore. Se os resultados forem carregados a partir do cache local, você também se beneficiará com os custos de acesso reduzidos. Em vez de pagar por um milhão de instâncias de app para consultar os mesmos 100 documentos iniciais, você paga apenas pelas consultas necessárias para agrupar esses 100 documentos.

Os pacotes do Cloud Firestore foram projetados para funcionar bem com outros produtos de back-end do Firebase. Confira uma solução integrada em que os pacotes são criados pelo Cloud Functions e disponibilizados para os usuários com o Firebase Hosting.

O uso de um pacote com seu app envolve três etapas:

  1. Criar o pacote com o SDK Admin
  2. Disponibilizar o pacote a partir do armazenamento local ou de uma CDN
  3. Carregar pacotes no cliente

O que é um pacote de dados?

Um pacote é um arquivo binário estático criado por você para empacotar um ou mais snapshots de documentos e/ou consultas. Além disso, é possível extrair consultas nomeadas de um pacote. Conforme discutido abaixo, os SDKs do lado do servidor permitem criar pacotes, e os SDKs de cliente fornecem métodos para carregar pacotes no cache local.

As consultas nomeadas são um recurso especialmente eficiente dos pacotes. Consultas nomeadas são objetos Query que podem ser extraídos de um pacote e usados imediatamente para consultar dados no cache ou no back-end, da mesma forma que em qualquer parte do app que interage com o Cloud Firestore.

Como criar pacotes de dados no servidor

Como disponibilizar pacotes de dados

É possível disponibilizar pacotes para seus apps clientes usando uma CDN ou fazendo o download dos pacotes pelo Cloud Storage, por exemplo.

Suponha que o pacote criado na seção anterior foi salvo em um arquivo chamado bundle.txt e postado em um servidor. Esse arquivo de pacote funciona como qualquer outro recurso que pode ser disponibilizado na Web, conforme mostrado a seguir em um app Node.js Express simples.

Como carregar pacotes de dados no cliente

Para carregar pacotes do Firestore, busque-os em um servidor remoto. Para isso, faça uma solicitação HTTP, chame uma API de armazenamento ou use qualquer outra técnica para buscar arquivos binários em uma rede.

Depois de encontrado, seu app usa o SDK cliente do Cloud Firestore para chamar o método loadBundle, que retorna um objeto de rastreamento de tarefa. A conclusão dessa tarefa pode ser monitorada da mesma forma que o status de uma promessa. Após a conclusão bem-sucedida da tarefa de carregamento de pacotes, o conteúdo do pacote estará disponível no cache local.
