Transacciones y escrituras por lotes

Cloud Firestore admite operaciones atómicas para leer y escribir datos. En un conjunto de operaciones atómicas, o todas las operaciones tienen éxito o no se aplica ninguna. Hay dos tipos de operaciones atómicas en Cloud Firestore:

  • Transacciones : una transacción es un conjunto de operaciones de lectura y escritura sobre uno o más documentos.
  • Escrituras por lotes : una escritura por lotes es un conjunto de operaciones de escritura en uno o más documentos.

Actualización de datos con transacciones

Con las bibliotecas cliente de Cloud Firestore, puedes agrupar varias operaciones en una sola transacción. Las transacciones son útiles cuando desea actualizar el valor de un campo en función de su valor actual o del valor de algún otro campo.

Una transacción consta de cualquier número de operaciones get() seguidas de cualquier número de operaciones de escritura como set() , update() o delete() . En el caso de una edición simultánea, Cloud Firestore vuelve a ejecutar toda la transacción. Por ejemplo, si una transacción lee documentos y otro cliente modifica cualquiera de esos documentos, Cloud Firestore vuelve a intentar la transacción. Esta característica garantiza que la transacción se ejecute con datos actualizados y consistentes.

Las transacciones nunca aplican escrituras parciales. Todas las escrituras se ejecutan al final de una transacción exitosa.

Al utilizar transacciones, tenga en cuenta que:

  • Las operaciones de lectura deben ir antes que las operaciones de escritura.
  • Una función que llama a una transacción (función de transacción) puede ejecutarse más de una vez si una edición simultánea afecta un documento que lee la transacción.
  • Las funciones de transacción no deben modificar directamente el estado de la aplicación.
  • Las transacciones fallarán cuando el cliente esté desconectado.

Pasar información fuera de las transacciones

No modifique el estado de la aplicación dentro de sus funciones de transacción. Hacerlo introducirá problemas de concurrencia, porque las funciones de transacción se pueden ejecutar varias veces y no se garantiza que se ejecuten en el subproceso de la interfaz de usuario. Fallo de transacción

Una transacción puede fallar por las siguientes razones:

  • La transacción contiene operaciones de lectura después de operaciones de escritura. Las operaciones de lectura siempre deben preceder a cualquier operación de escritura.
  • La transacción leyó un documento que fue modificado fuera de la transacción. En este caso, la transacción se vuelve a ejecutar automáticamente. La transacción se reintenta un número finito de veces.

Validación de datos para operaciones atómicas.

Para las bibliotecas de clientes web/móviles, puedes validar los datos mediante las reglas de seguridad de Cloud Firestore . Puede asegurarse de que los documentos relacionados siempre se actualicen de forma atómica y siempre como parte de una transacción o escritura por lotes. Utilice la función de regla de seguridad getAfter() para acceder y validar el estado de un documento después de que se complete un conjunto de operaciones pero antes de que Cloud Firestore confirme las operaciones.

Por ejemplo, imagine que la base de datos del ejemplo de cities también contiene una colección countries .
